New York String Source will deduct from the price of any instrument 30% of the accumulated rental payments towards an instrument limited to 50% of the retail cost of the instrument.

Each instrument is hand made by Saul Lima. All fine instruments are available for trial and loan with deposit* In addition to our wide array of fine instruments, our Rent-to-Own policy may be applied to the commission to a brand new customized instrument by Saul Lima.

  • Rental costs that qualify for the Rent-to-Own policy include: All instrument and insurance charges excluding tax and any special accessories

  • Rental fees incurred from multiple instruments cannot be combined towards a single instrument

  • Rent to own discounts apply to the pretax total

  • Late Fees assessed on annual rentals do not qualify for Rent-to-Own discount

When commissioning a new instrument, first is a consultation with Saul Lima. You will choose your instrument, pattern, materials and many other aspects. After payment is finalized then construction will commence. Approximately 2 to 3 months is required to complete an instrument.
